[NTLUG:Discuss] IRQ reassingment

Okay, I'm lost... installed in internal modem in my sons PC, defined it
in Windows as COM3, IRQ 9.  It works fine in Windows.  The only thing
I've run across so far in Linux that talks about IRQs is serial.conf
(Mandrake 8.1) but that doesn't seem to get read during any
initialization.  I can't get setserial to redefine the IRQ and I can't
find anything else that will let me.  So where do I need to look/go to
get the IRQ for ttyS2 changed from its current value to "9"?
