Kevin,

I'm running RH7.2.

$ rpm --version returns RPM version 4.0.3

My paradigm for making from source rpm's is:
$  rpm -ivh <src.rpm file>
$  cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/
$  rpm -ba <spec file>
$  cd ../RPMS
$  rpm -ivh <rpm file>

This has worked for me in the past. If you're having
trouble finding 6.2 src.rpm files, try some of the RedHat
mirrors at: http://www.redhat.com/download/mirror.html
