[NTLUG:Discuss] pop3 account/check password problem.

Is there any one use pop3 a do you create/check pop3 user before login? I 
have tried to create password by perl, then copy and paste the encrypted 
password to password file (not in/etc/password), use Dan Bernstein and some 
other people's checkpassword program and try to login in to pop3 server, 
never get it work.
