[NTLUG:Discuss] Redhat 7.2 printer

I have been using mostly Redhat and Mandrake for the last few years and
have never had problems with smb printer setup. I just built a new box
and thought it would be a good time to go to RH 7.2 because of the new
printer support. While the printer data base seems to be extensive, I
can't get the printer to work at all. No response, no error, no nothing.
After a minute or so the job gets flushed out of the queue. I'm about
ready to go back to Mandrake 7.1. Everything seemed to work there. But,
I would like to run the latest versions of all software I use regularly
and have problems upgrading packages with RPM. So, if I can get the
printer to work, I'll go on to the next problem which is VMware.
Has anyone gotten VMware to run on RH 7.2?
When I try to configure it I get:
None of VMware's pre-built vmmon modules is suitable for your running
kernel. Do you want this script to try to build the vmmon module for
your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)?
[yes]
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your
running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]
What files is the script looking for and where are they?
TIA
