I have the (mis)fortune of filling this role for the FlightGear[1]
development list.  Several of our developers have opted to subscribe
with multiple addresses and disable delivery to all but one.  Then they
can send mail from several different accounts without driving me nuts
(as the moderator) and they don't have to remember to check their From:
field every time they send to the list.  :-)
