Depends upon the application. Very CPU bound, yet highly paritionable
apps might benefit from the 2 CPU
config. For the average desktop (yes... even server) user, the answer
is probably no. It would be better
to compare 2 Celeron 400's to a Pentium III 500 CPU... then, the results
might be more noticeable (again,
only in certain circumstances... you'll probably want the front-side bus
clocked at 100Mhz on the
Celeron for instance to help).
Right now, I would not spend money on a 2 cpu Celeron 400.... cost vs.
performance is way too high (and
may actually be a negative ratio in comparison to a 800 Mhz unit).
