[NTLUG:Discuss] I want to put linux on an IBM rs/6000

Ok, I need a push in the right direction.

I want to put linux on an RS/6000. Where do I start? I downloaded and 
burned mandrake 8.0 for PPC but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Maybe I need to just do a password recovery under AIX.

I need help in either direction.. Is the rs/6000 intel based or apple?

How do I blow the root password on AIX?


Do I need to IA64 flavor of my favorite distro?
