[NTLUG:Discuss] Newby Question - revisited

More annoyingly simple questions from someone who just doesn't know...

My NIC is a standard NIC and RedHat has auto-installed the driver, etc..
Etc...  I configured it with the IP 192.168.254.50 and subnet
255.255.0.0 (yes, don't laugh), and a default gateway of 192.168.254.1.
These settings are correct, but the card won't initialize on boot.  Any
ideas?  Pointers?  Suggestions?

What's the best way, in RH7.2 to set this up at command line?
