[NTLUG:Discuss] What are the main wins of Mandrake over redHat

I have never had any problems with HardWare detection on either, and I
do use notebooks on a regular basis, with Xircom and other cards.
Mandrake was based off of RedHat and are very similar. Mandrake has
opted to build their RPMs for i586 instead of i386, so if you are
running older hardware you have some issues with that, but it is not
that common. As for whether or not there is a performance boost from
this change, is going to be a perception thing for most parts. I
haven't seen any benchmarks.
I have always had problems with Mandrake not working the way I think it
should, so I stick with RedHat or SuSE, but this is a religious war,
almost as bad as BSD v. Linux v. Win32 v. blah, blah, blah...
check this out...
