[NTLUG:Discuss] Dial up access from a Linux box....?

OK...now that I think I know about the modems stuff....I take it that an 
external modem will work as well?  Please excuse my non-lack of knowledge 
here....but I am desperately trying to get this down, like as in overnight.

Also, I'm sure the the Linux OS as a server side can probably be set up for 
dial up accounts coming in????  If so, can anyone tell me how to set it up, 
before I blow out this other machine and have to load....Windblows so I can 
do it?
