I found some links that may (or may not) help.
For a local LUG you might look at:
http://lugww.counter.li.org/groups.cms?&cc=US
You may have to start one, in your local. =)

Also I would suggest using:
http://www.linuxcentral.com/
for your software needs, since they are on the NTLUG website. 
Also they are prompt on their delivery. I've used them many times, and have 
not been disappointed. 
But, your milage may vary. =)
