These appear to be the versions sent with the original
distribution. :( I don't understand RedHat. To get the updated version,
I had to go to

ftp://updates.redhat.com/6.2/en/os/i386/

Here I found the highest version I could find on RedHat, but I already
had that version installed.  (I subscribe to their up2date service and
had made this upgrade some time ago.)

Thanks everybody for all the help and suggestions.  I may have had
sendmail configured improperly.  I changed it.  Hope this makes it to the
list. :)
