[NTLUG:Discuss] Email solutions

Greetings list. I am looking for ideas of how to implement a well featured
email system using Linux. Currently, I use imap and sendmail, and install
the clients with various mail clients. This solution is workable, but leaves
out some nice functionality.

The first two features that come to mind are: 
group scheduling and shared contacts
shared email folders (ie account at domain.com goes to a folder where anyone
can read or change the email message)

Also, I would prefer not to implement in a web browser because most web
browser based systems tend to be less end user feature rich (ie ease of use
etc)

Anyone with ideas?
