Dan,

I haven't had this problem on any of my systems.  I've got 3 FIC and 2 
ASUS MBs plus I built an ASUS for my daughter.  All of these are VIA 
chipset boards and run 24/7 for months at a time.  The FIC are Socket 7 
and the ASUS are Athlons.
