If it is not a Windows box connecting, the throughput is dropping below
1.5Kb/s for my 56Kb modem!

Earthlink & ISPWest are both using M$ XP.  I can connect fine with my
WinBox, just not with the Linux box.

I am telnetted in to my account in Ottawa to send this.  My M$ box is NOT
configured to handle my email.  If you know a decent dialup ISP for Linux,
please call me at 214-724-7741.
