Yes! At my last job, Linux ran the external DNS, mail, and LDAP servers,
while a win2k server ran DHCP with its own internal DNS as well as being the
domain controller for all the other mswindows machines on the LAN; and both
flavors of OS ran their own webservers, all behind a dedicated firewall. They
can play nicely together, and a little planning goes a long way.
Since you're new to the Linux side, I also suggest you set up a small mixed
network to get a better feel, as well as make any initial mistakes in a more
"forgiving" environment.
