The line that I use for my AT&T Cable modem connection (WITH A PERMANENTLY
ASSIGNED DHCPed ADDRESS (Their version of static, I guess)) is
/sbin/dhcpcd -h c1775665-A -R
(The -R prevents my /etc/resolv.conf from being replaced. I DON'T want to
use their nameservers, thank you very much.)
