Well I did what KeVin said and used my Mandrake install CDs to install X-CD-Roast.   Thanks.
Now, I must must setup my IDE CD-RW to operate as a scsi device.
In the CD-Writing HOWTO it lists commands to start with.   It says the commands create device file entries.   Am I supposed to create an executable script to run these commands?   Or what.

The Howto Isn't.

I do not know scripting so I don't know what I am doing.
Anybody willing to walk me through the Howto to install an IDE-SCSI device driver.   There seems to be a lot that is understood in this Howto.
