Well...
Is placement within the /etc/syslog.conf important? I added the
"*.* /var/log/all" statement and bounced syslogd. I verified that I was
receiving log entries in /var/log/all.
About 7 hours later I checked in on things and I found that no kernel
messages had been logged since I restarted syslogd (the most obvious was
the missing firewall messages). I put things back like they were before.
What are the -- MARK -- messages?
