Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Netware 'salvage' feature wanted in SAMBA.

For anyone not familiar with Netware, there is a feature that can be used
called 'Salvage'. Salvage allows deleted files to be recovered. Sometimes
it is the users who delete files and need them recovered and other times
applications that delete files before saving a new copy. Is there a
configuration parameter that allows deleted files to 'hang around' until the
file space is needed? Is there an add-on product that creates a (forgive me
for using this term) 'network recycle bin?'

While I'm sure that we all agree that one should know what they're doing
before deleting files, users do have accidents (well ok..we all do....well
*I* do anyway.)

So...what are the options?

-Richard
