Have you checked the sendmail FAQ? Looks like 4.5 might address your problem:
http://www.sendmail.org/faq/section4.html#4.5
Make sure you fix the SOA serial numbers as well...these inconsistencies will come
back to haunt you down the road.
These configuration fiascos are the very reason I don't use sendmail (I prefer
qmail). Don't believe the hype you hear about the configuration woes of sendmail
being a worn myth. They're very real, and using a configuration front-end like
linuxconf usually creates more problems than it solves, despite appearances to the
contrary.
