This is very easy for you to verify yourself...

dstanawa at ciderbox:~$ /sbin/ifconfig eth0 |grep HWaddr
eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:03:93:0F:DA:B2  

Also: arp -a
should show you your arp cache


And for peoples information:
dstanawa at ciderbox:~$ hostid               
3262aa4c
dstanawa at ciderbox:~$ hostid --version
