[NTLUG:Discuss] dual keyboards / dual mice

What you could do in this case is get a "dumb" terminal to connect to a
serial port. This would give you the command prompt on a remote display and
allow you to run VMWare full screen on the console.

Another approach would be to get a LOW end PC and configure it as an X
terminal. You could have it boot over the network to your main Linux box
(no need to even have a hard drive in it). Then you'd have a full X desktop
to work with. A quick search on http://www.google.com for "X terminal"
provided a list of sites detailing how to accomplish this.

Have fun!

Rick.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] dual keyboards / dual mice

To go along with my DualHead question.... has
anyone hooked up dual keyboards and mice
to their linux box? It would be nice if I
could run VMware ( full screen ) on one monitor
and it have it's own keyboard/mouse and run
another XFree desktop or a Command Line
console on the other monitor and give it it's
own mouse and keyboard. Just a thought.

Thanks - jack
