Um...I don't, on any of my servers. Anyone who doesn't know exactly what is
available on their servers probably shouldn't be running a server (of any sort) in
the first place.
I get the distinct impression (from a couple of years of monitoring NTLUG posts)
that there are still folks out there who install distros and simply have NO IDEA
what they're running. This isn't a flame...simply an observation: If you have to
cover yourself with comments such as "who isn't running xyz", mayhaps you need to
take a closer look at your own system. This goes for anyone else who simply
doesn't know what they're running.
It's good you ask here...that means you're concerned. But your so-called "secure"
box is only as secure as the applications you leave on it for others to hack with.
If you have to ask about it, it probably doesn't belong on the box.
