[NTLUG:Discuss] no /dev/lp0 ???

 It's always the simple thing its seems!  I set the BIOS to no PnP OS  more
then
two years ago...   It must have gotten reset in a BIOS upgrade along the
way.
 Anyhow,  that was the problem.  It's printing now!

Go into your bios setup program and verify that the parallel port is
enabled.  If it is already enabled then you might try some of the other
modes.  You should also specify "non-pnp os" in the bios setup program,
if
it has such a setting.
