I agree 100%...I've always thought there would be a living to be made from
consulting with school districts (especially smaller cash-strapped ones) to help
them cut costs by dumping Microsoft and other proprietary systems.

Do you have support from the school administration (either site or district level)?
If so, you are doubly lucky. I've found, at least in the Dallas area, that
administrators are very pro-Microsoft, and vehemently anti-open source (the latter,
I believe, is due to (1) ignorance and (2) job security).
