Sorry for the confusion - I don't care what the IP is, but I relocate my
laptop twice a day (work/home) and therefore DHCP and routing
information really does change twice a day. If my machine thinks it
still has the stuff it was using before the last shutdown then I can't
get anywhere at all - therefore I must force for a new "lease" (is that
the right term?). I suppose some folks might have some other reason for
wanting a new IP, but I don't know what it would be.
