oh...nevermind all that babble about things which you DIDN'T ask. I re-read
your question and realized I went off on a tangent of my own.
Sorry.
A dhcp client has to work SOME way, and requesting its previous address is
one of those ways. To keep it from doing that, us the other way and '-k' or
'/release' the address so that it searches anew upon reboot.
Seems to me like someone made the '-k' option JUST FOR YOU! :)
