[NTLUG:Discuss] SANE XSANE - don't want to reinvent wheel

So far "xsane: no devices available" is what I get from "xsane", and 
Gimp doesn't seem to see it either.
There are actually 2 - one is an old UMax Astra 600P on parallel port, 
and the other is a HP Officejet d155xi on Ethernet.
