[NTLUG:Discuss] SANE XSANE - don't want to reinvent wheel

No, actually it was purchased to work with a MS system, and it does.
I just thought about trying it on Linux as an after thought.
The UMax is so old (pre Win98 - serial I/O, for sure) that I thought
surely no problem (umax and umaxpp are both in /usr/bin/xsane)
So what you are saying is there isn't any "special set up", if xsane
doesn't come up with the device then it isn't supported? Is that it?
Understand, I haven't done any kind of set up - nada.
