Hi Merlin,
I run RH 7.3 on my dual PIII 650Mhz System, and I have a Soundblaster
Live. I have never been able to get the SB Live to work with the
installation kernel installed by RH 7.3. I would suggest that you do
what I do...which is to get the source to the kernel and recompile it
with the EMU10k1/SB Live sound support turned on (I typically get a
stock kernel...I'm running the 2.4.19 kernel right now). Once this
support is compiled into the kernel, your Sound Blaster Live will then work.
I suspect the problem is that Red Hat doesn't have the SB Live support
enabled on their kernel.
Anyhow, this is what works for me.
Good Luck....
