[NTLUG:Discuss] USB mouse w/ 2 Kernels

I am having problems w/ my usb mouse.  Here goes.

I am running Debian 3.0 (Woody) and have both 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel, and
2.4.19 installed on my system.  When I boot into 2.4.18-bf2.4 my usb
mouse works great.  When I boot into 2.4.19 my usb mouse does not. My
first thougt was, modules must not be loaded. the following is an lsmod
of the two kernels.  To me it looks like all the modules related to the
mouse are loaded in both. Why does one kernel work and the other NOT.

Attached is two files, one was an lsmod of kernel 2.4.18-bf2.4
the other is an lsmod of kernel 2.4.19
