If the NIC IP is the only address you're changing, I
think that's pretty much correct.....but you won't
need to reboot the machine just restart the network
script.

Are you thinking about setting up a DHCP server for
for the dial-ins? I haven't done DHCP for dialup
before, but I it shouldn't be to much trouble to
setup... Of course RH 5.1 is one of the first versions
of linux I ever used and just about everything about
Linux has changed since then.
