[NTLUG:Discuss] Compiling a RH 4.2 application on RH 7.3

I have a large database application "Minibase" with many .so and many source
files that was originally built on RH 4.2.
I don't have all the source to all of the .so files.
But as it is I have a RH 7.3 machine that I want to compile the database
application on and run it.

Is there a way to install the old RH 4.2 (I have RH 4.2 source disks)
libraries necessary, and force the build of this application to use the RH
4.2 compiler and linker on my RH 7.3 box?
