We have recently (as of Oct 2nd), found a really cool mail and spam scanner 
for Linux.  The scanner is called Mail Scanner 
(http://www.mailscanner.info).  It does NOT require a lot of setup and 
configuration...and works VERY WELL.  I have been extremely impressed with 
it's thoroughness and speed.  It delays a message delivery by 1 or 2 
seconds, but found very effective.  It uses one of the major virus programs 
for it's virus control (Sophos is the default), PLUS incorporates 
SpamAssassin as well.  I haven't worked that part in yet....but works very 
well with SendMail, etc.

It does NOT require a ton of added plugins to install...very slick, simple 
and effective!

And best of all.....very configurable!
