Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Compiling a Kernel on RedHat...
Does anyone have a cheatsheet on getting a kernel to compile on Redhat
7.x, and 8.x. Using the base kernel from kernel.org I have never been
able to compile a kernel on a Redhat machine that didn't have some
problem. Either it wouldn't run X, or it wouldn't boot at all. I know
some of the options that I am not choosing have something to do with it.
Or are there patches that need to be run against the default kernel to
ready it for RedHat. Any pointers would be helpful. I have looked
elsewhere, google, etc. But none have really been RedHat specific.
Thanks,
