[NTLUG:Discuss] Making room on boot file system

I don't know if there is a proper procedure for managing the contents of
/boot, other than doing it manually. If you know you are not going to need
to boot a particular kernel in the future, you can just delete that kernel
and its associated files. It would also be a good idea to check your boot
loader's configuration to make sure it no longer references the deleted
kernel(s), and update its configuration as necessary. Basically, anything
you know you don't need you can safely delete, just be careful not to
delete anything you do need. Probably not as specific a response as you'd
like, but it's the best I can do!
P.S. It is possible that more than one kernel could use a single initrd, so
make sure any initrd's you delete really are no longer referenced by any
kernels you intend to use after that (again, check your boot loader's
configuration).
