Recommendations for low end pentiums

1. Red Hat 6.2 
2. Debian Potato 

You need to get more RAM into them to be usable... X-windows 
on linux isn't very friendly with less than 32meg of 
memory, no matter what distro you try. If you are stuck 
with 16 meg. I recommend red hat 6.x  I went thru a lot of 
distro's with that configuration (p120/16meg) and red hat 
had the zippiest X, and was rock solid.  I didn't like it 
because Post-Install configuration was the least friendly 
of any distro I tried (when using k-desktop anyway... i 
heard later that gnome for redhat 6 looked a lot different 
than k)
