I'm sure it is.  If it's not working, the problem is likely in the
BasicConstraints requirement, or the Usage requirement.  Certificates
are tagged for their intended purposes.  OpenSSL by default generates
certificates that are suitable for web servers.  That's likely not what
PCAnywhere is looking for.
