If you have mod_so compiled into Apache, then you can use apxs (Apache
Extension Tool) to load mod_perl into httpd at runtime. Man page for
apxs is available at http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/programs/apxs.html
You might also give the Apache Toolbox a look:
