Top posting is where you put your comment at the top  instead of at the 
bottom.  
(You're comment appeared at the bottom just now so you did it right, and 
so am I.)

When you put your comments at the bottom of an email that your replying 
too, others see the original statement with your comment following it, 
and it just makes more sense.  At least that's usually the case. 
 Sometimes, it's appropriate to top post, but usually not.
