I saw what looks to be a very good book, you should check it out. I
saw it at Barns & Nobel on S. Hulen St. in Ft Worth and it appears to be
a very extensive Linux manual that covers system configurations and
netwoking, all in one pretty good size book (a good 1&1/2" thick or
more) and has a very good index.
(I always figure if it's got a good index, it's got potential of being a
good book.)

Not only that, it's got RedHat's latest release and not just the
downloadalbe 3 CD version but 6 CD's worth, but just all on one DVD
disk. (It's in a clear plastic jacket in the inside cover) That would
be the same thing you get in RedHat's complete boxed set that comes with
6 CDs some 1500 programs or so.

Well, the software is not a real big issue, at least not to me, I have
the 3 CD downloadable version anyway and it's prolly all I need, (for my
personal use), but the book is really good. I sat down with it for
about a half hour and it looks to be quite extensive, well organized
and well written. I'd have bought it myself if I'd felt just a bit
more extravagant but It was $49.95 and I've got three other Linux
manuals already.

Anyway, just FYI:
