Not a problem.  However, I'd suggest that the IDE be designated as the 
boot drive.  This will eliminate a few minor headaches.  If your BIOS 
supports SCSI before IDE boot searching then you can boot SCSI if you 
really insist on it.

The DB server I'm building up will be IDE for boot and programs with 68 
pin SCSI for DBMS storage.
