Personally, I use DirectNic (http://www.directnic.com) They have an 
excellent web interface into the domain controls, and they only want $15.00 
/  year!  They hold ALL my domains.....haven't had any problems with them 
at all.  Most of the time, I can have domains "hot" on the web within 12 
hours (next zone update)....not 2 or 4 days later.

I too have moved all domains away from NSI...bunch of crooks!  They have 
held a couple of domains "hostage" in the past, they won't tell you how or 
what is going on with a transfer....poor way to do business.  My last 
conversation with someone there they actually sounded intelligent was, they 
have a "new way" to satisfy customers....they do?  WHERE? Now you can get 
"bargain" domains from them....if you renew LONG term, they are only $25.00 
per year!  :-)
