You were wise to get the K7XPro.  The K7X uses 3com onboard
ethernet (the WORST ENEMY OF LINUX!).  I will NEVER EVER, NO NOT
EVER use 3com again (the bad part is that I know I've said
that in the past).  Now I just need to think of something
creative I can stick into the two ports besides CAT5.

Tyan's support of LINUX ----> NONE and not interested.
3com's support of LINUX ----> NONE and not interested (anymore).

Something to keep in mind.
