Don't write filters anymore. Assuming you are running your own mail
server, install SpamAssassin on it (http://www.spamassassin.org/). I
installed SpamAssassin on my mail server back in September and it has
blocked an average of 98.74% of spam over 4 months.

There is also a user preferences file that you can edit to blacklist or
whitelist additional addresses as you see fit. It's been a godsend for
me as I don't have to write content filters anymore.
