A couple of months ago I subscribed to the Unix Guru Universe's daily
"unix hot tip" mailing list.  Each day it sends a unix tip someone has
sent in.  Lots of them aren't relevant to my situation, but some have
been quite useful.  

Having them come in the daily email is useful because it doesn't depend
on my seeking out the tips, they just arrive on a regular basis.  When a
new tip comes, I look to see if it's useful for me.  If it is, I try to
remember to use it later on.  Even if it's not relevant to me, I still
read the tip to see if I understand how and why it works.
