Why not get a SS7 MB with AMD 500MHz CPU and a ATX MidTower.  CPU, MB, 
and Case for less than $150.  You can still get the MBs and CPUs new 
from some e-tailers.

I did a quick check and found an e-tailer advertising on e-bay for new 
SS7 MBs and directron.com has 500MHz AMDs for $26.

I've got a '79 camaro waiting for me to scape the $$$ to restore the 
interior.  I drive a '77 Dodge Warlock every day.  The wife gets the new 
car ;)  You'll need LOTs of cool techno-stuff for that bird :o
