I've got a Dell PowerEdge 4200 Server I'd sell cheap if you're interested.
It's more along the lines of coffee table size, though. Here's the config:
Dual PII 333 (yep, 66 MHz bus)
512 MB EDO ECC Ram (that's maxed out even though there are 4 open DIMM
banks)
Dell PERC Raid Card - dual channel with battery protected cache - 16MB EDO
ECC cache installed, supports 32MB
4-18.2 GB Quantum Atlas III Hot Swap SCSI drives configured as 3-> Raid5
with one as an online hot spare
There are 2 additional drive trays with SCA 80 pin connectors waiting to be
filled. I can put a couple more 18G drives in if you want to pay some more
SCSI CD ROM
SCSI DDS3 12/24G Python tape backup
Intel Pro 100-B NIC
Dual redundant 700W power supplies
All the latest firmware updates from Dell
She generates some heat & makes a bit of noise with the fans and drives, but
it is a real plowhorse system and highly redundant. Let me know if you're
interested.
I'd probably sell the works for $500 or so. Here is a link that should work
to get some more detailed info on it:
http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems/srav_ii/Specs.htm
Thanks,
Joe Torma
