Howdy,
   For scheduled audio recording, I have been using rawrec.  It lets you 
specify a length in seconds to record.  So, I leave my receiver on and have 
a cron job that runs rawrec.  Then I just run sox to convert to a wav 
file.  I usually edit the file a bit before converting to ogg, but I assume 
you could run oggenc also in a cron job and have everything ready to listen.
